Ashley Brown, LISW-CP-S
President
Founder of AB Compassion Project, established in 2025. Her career began in 2015 in child welfare services, where she witnessed firsthand the challenges and heartbreak faced by children in foster care.
Driven by a deep sense of purpose and compassion, Ashley felt called to create meaningful change beyond her professional role. Her vision for AB Compassion Project is simple yet powerful: to restore normalcy, dignity, and hope to children navigating the foster care system.
Through this mission, Ashley continues to advocate for the well-being of vulnerable youth, offering support, resources, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most.
Dana Aaron, LMSW
Treasurer
A dedicated member of the AB Compassion Project since its founding in 2025. Her career serving South Carolina’s foster youth began in 2016 with the Department of Social Services, where she held multiple roles supporting children and families within the foster care system.
Dana’s deep passion for advocating for foster youth continues to fuel her commitment to this work. Through the AB Compassion Project, she is honored to play a role in bringing hope, encouragement, and meaningful support to children in foster care across the state.
Kathy Grabiec
Secretary
A proud founding member of the AB Compassion Project. For years, Kathy has been a dedicated advocate for children in foster care, participating in numerous fundraising efforts.
Her commitment has directly impacted countless children by providing essential resources and bringing moments of joy and comfort to their lives.
